Test Automation with HP QTP

This course delivers comprehensive understanding of core Automated Testing Methodologies and  provides hands-on experience with most popular Functional and Regression test automation tool HP QuickTest Professional.

HP Unified Functional Testing (former HP QTP – QuickTest Professional)  is one the most widely used enterprise quality assurance functional testing tools on the market today. Top organizations now realize the importance of automated functional/regression testing and hence QTP experts are always in demand.
This is a hands-on, interactive class that allows you to put concepts to immediate use as each chapter is followed by number of practical examples and tasks as well as information for additional self study. No prior automation experience is required!

Course has being split into 10 classes.  Additionally it should take you at least 20 hours of self learning to complete the exercises and study provided materials.

What you will learn:

• Fundamentals of Test Automation
• You will learn how to write your own QTP tests using both Keyword and Expert views
• You will understand usage of QTP Object Repository, Checkpoints, Recovery Scenarios and Error Handling techniques
• You will parameterize QTP scripts and practice Data Driven automation approach
• You will build automation framework utilizing Keyword Driven, Data Driven and Modular Automation approaches
• You will learn VBScript to automate test cases, write re-usable functions and actions
• You will use descriptive programming to dynamically identify objects in application and interact with them

Course requirements:

• Windows laptop with Windows XP or Windows 7 installed
• Trial version of HP UFT (QTP)
